Beath High Community Use is running a Dog First Aid Course 17 February 2019 9.30am-3.30pm.  What you learn on this course could save a dogs life.

Course is for:

  • Responsible dog owners
  • Dog walkers
  • Dog sitters
  • Dog handlers
  • Dog trainers
  • Dog behaviourists
  • Kennel owners
  • Pet store owners/employees

What is covered?

  • Knowing your dog
  • Weekly health checks
  • Checking and understanding vital signs
  • Dealing with unconsciousness
  • CPR, drowning and choking
  • Bleeding, injuries and shock
  • Dog restraints, carrying and transportation
  • Dog first aid kits
  • Common medical problems
  • Illness, burns, poisons, bites and stings
  • Dealing with aggressive/confused dogs
  • Dog bites on humans
