Get involved and help create a #fairer Fife

What do you love about the area you live in? And what could be improved? Fife Council wants to hear from local people as a local plan is developed for the area.

The council is gathering views until the end of August and is encouraging as many people as possible to get involved.

Cllr Neil Crooks is Chair of the council’s Kirkcaldy Area Committee. He commented: “I’m very proud of Kirkcaldy and the surrounding area. It’s a great place to live, work and visit but there is still a gap in our society between those who have and those who don’t.

“We are working hard to close that gap but we need help from our partners and our communities to make that happen and create a fairer Fife for everyone.

“What would make a difference? This is your opportunity to influence what goes on in your area – the more information and ideas we get from local people, the better.”

The consultation is open to everyone in the Kirkcaldy area which covers the town, Kinghorn, Burntisland and Auchtertool and runs until the end of August.

Pick up a form from any community centre or library or take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire online here:

All views gathered will help develop a new plan for the area and a report on progress will be discussed at a meeting of the Kirkcaldy Area Committee in October.
