Health and Wellbeing Accreditation Framework

All schools continue on their journey through the Health and Wellbeing Accreditation Framework.

The School Health & Wellbeing Coordinators have been provided with contact details of their colleagues from across Fife. This enables staff to share practice and support each other when undertaken the quality assurance aspect (Card Game) of the framework. If you have not received the list and you are a coordinator please contact me and the email address at the end of this article.

Moderation of the accreditation framework continues.

Curriculum for Excellence: Health and Wellbeing

The suggestions provided to support the outcomes are not prescriptive and can be changed to meet the needs of children, young people and the whole school community. The folder also contains Reflection Tools for use by all staff.

There are also national documents available in this section of the website.

Administration of Emergency Medication Training

Training dates for Initial and Update sessions were sent to the schools prior to the summer holidays along with the Annual Update Checklist.

Education staff must book training sessions on Educations CPD on line via FISH.

All educational establishments should have someone trained whether or not they have pupils who require medication at that time. Problems arise when pupils who do require medication enroll in the school mid-term and the pupil cannot be accommodated until someone has training.
