Kirkcaldy High School Working with Ernst & Young

Archived news: published on Friday 22 Jul 2016 by Fife Council

KHS is proud to be a big part of Fife Council’s cohort involved with the Ernst and Young Smart Futures Scheme. This offers an opportunity to have a great paid experience of work in Edinburgh. The ten month programme starts with three weeks paid work experience in the summer. Students  gain a variety of transferable skills that will give them a head start in any career—especially financial services.

Smart Futures can make young people more employable, helping them to get a job after school or go onto higher education. An EY Foundation mentor offers support throughout the ten months to advise on one of the biggest career choices young people will make - the first step in working life. Entrants are also invited to a series of alumni events throughout their final year at school.

The nine Fife participants come from Glenrothes, Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy schools. We are all very proud of Abby Hitchcock, Kimberley Adamson and Lauren
