Happy Early Years Apprentice
Fife Council are investing in the development of our younger children. We are training more Early Years Officers in order to meet the 1140 hours of free childcare being offered to all eligible two, three and four year olds in Fife by August 2020.
The Early Years Apprenticeships have proved so successful we have reopened the apprenticeship. You have until Midnight on Sunday 7 July to apply.
We are looking for people from a wide range of backgrounds and experience. Whether you have decided to change direction in your working life or have been away from working life for a while, it's an opportunity open to all.
These posts will allow us to offer additional nursery hours whilst maintaining high quality Early Learning and Childcare and provide more flexibility for parents who wish to work, train or study.
Councillor Fay Sinclair, Convenor of Education and Children’s Services, said "After the success of the training last year, we are delighted to encourage more people to make the change, take up this very satisfying career and to make a real difference to children’s lives.
“The scheme allows people to gain valuable experience on the job and develop new skills, along with gaining essential SVQ qualifications. This then opens up a range of new career opportunities.”
