The Fife Council response to the Scottish Government Consultation on Social Security in Scotland. A Fife response has been led by Fife Council but has involved considerable participation and input from a range of partner agencies and through partnership structures at both a Fife wide level and at local area level. The partner agencies included those third sector agencies most active in providing advice and support to those in the welfare benefit system. Groups of benefit claimants have been supported to contribute their views - including an event held with claimants and front line staff with Scottish Government involvement at the Benarty Centre on Friday, 21 October. Fife Council has endorsed the response through its Executive Committee.
