Welcome to Aberdour Nursery!
Note that all Nurseries are now called Early Learning and Childcare Centres (so look out for the ELCC acronym)
We aim to keep you involved in what is happening in Nursery and up to date about current learning.
Look out for regular information about learning and improvements through Groupcall texts, emails and regular Newsletters. We also love our parents to join us for occasional get togethers where you learn allongside your child like Stay n' Play, PEEP (Parent Educational Partnerships), Book Bug sessions and Let's Chat parent partnerships (exploring current early years initiatives).
Nursery Teacher is Miss Susan Curran
Early Years Officers (who are keyworkers for the children) are Ms Andrea Mansfield, Mrs Gill Hislop, Mrs Miriam Kerr, Mrs Kathleen Duncan and Mrs Lorna Hooper.
For session 2018-19 we also have an Apprentice EYO Mrs Debbie Hunter joining the team part week.
Mrs Claire Wills is our Pupil Support Assistant. She is occasionally with us in the nursery.
We will have students joining the nursery for parts of the session. From the end of October Ms Moller will be in nursery Thursdays and Fridays, and then from mid February Mrs Hepburn will be in nursery Thursdays and Fridays.
We strive to offer the very best service for all of our children and families.
We operate a self-registration system to encourage name recognition and independence.
We are very busy in our Nursery Garden throughout the year. We have a fantastic climbing frame in the garden, which the children make regular use of. We also plant vegetables and flowers throughout the year.
