Primary 3/4/5 Miss Galbraith

Welcome to P3/4 class page. Our teacher is Miss Galbraith!

 

  Numeracy and Literacy

 In P3/4 we have been learning about Time. We will contine to learn about Time this term as it is a really important life skills. We will also be learning about Shape this term, along with mental maths and the four operations.

 For literacy we will be focusing on persuasive writing. We will be using this as a main focus for our writing. We will also continue to read our class novel 'The Explorer' and encourage the children to read as much as home aswell as they are showing a real enthusiasm for reading.

 

 Topic

 In P3/4 we will continue to learn about South America for the first part of Term 4. We still have lots of exciting learning opportunities to continue for this topic. This is a topic the children selected and are still very eager to learn about!

For the remainder of the term the children will have a topic focused on Outdoor learning. This will be driven by what they would like to learn, so stayed tuned on our Twitter page for lots of exciting learning opportunites!

 

Expressive Arts

We will soon be having a Spring Fair, so linked to this the children will be given the opprtunity to create some artwork for the fair, this will be linked to our learning for expressive arts. As part of our literacy the children will also be given the opportunity to perform drama using the features of persuasive writing.

 

Other News

 

We have lots of exciting things coming up. We have our Spring Fair coming up in May. Open doors will be on Monday 29th April 2.00-2.30pm and also on Thursday 30th May 9.00-9.30am.

 Remember to bring reading books every day.

 Gym is on Tuesday and Tuesdays.  

Homework grids and jotters are due on a Friday or at the end of the 3 week block. It is expected that at least two pieces of homework are completed from each week of the grid over the next three weeks.
