Primary 6/7 Miss George
Welcome to our page! Mrs Bell teaches P6/7.
P6/7 last topic was The Rainforest. We learned all about deforestation and why it can be such a big problem, We did a lot of research about how palm oil is a big cause of deforestation and how palm oil is used in our every day lives. We also imagined what the world might be like in 100 years if there were no Rainforests left. We really enjoyed learning about different tribes and their way of life.
We created rainforest pictures by creating a colage. We used lots of different types and colours of paper and sticking them down in different ways to make a picture. In music we have been learning Ukelele with Miss Porterfield which has been really tricky! In gym we had a gymastics focus and we created sequences using a combination of jumps, rolls and balances.
Our gym days are Mondays and Wednesdays so remember your gym kit. Reading homework will be going home on a Monday and must be completed and returned to school on a Thursday. We are going to be really busy this term with P7 transition events, dates to follow.
