Whether you are visiting our website to find out something about the school or whether you have found us by chance, I hope that you will take some time to browse the site. It is designed to give you a flavour of the life, work and opportunities provided by our school and I hope you will find the site interesting and informative.

Our shared vision that Beath is a school that is pupil centred, inclusive, promotes leadership at all levels and has high standards at its heart, coupled to our Core Values of Success, Ambition, Respect, Responsibility, Pride and Creating Opportunity, defines our school and shapes our work. While that defines how we work, we are always looking to improve. In order to define and direct that improvement we have developed our Vision of Excellence to complement and enhance our values. Working alongside pupils and parents and paying full attention to local and National priorities we have set out aspirational goals which we would aim to overtake within a school generation. The areas our Vision focusses on are:

  • Learning and Teaching
  • Ethos
  • Our Community
  • Opportunities
  • Self-Reflection and Evaluation
  • Outcomes

I look forward to seeing how our improvement develops within our Vision of Excellence.

At the heart of what we do right now and what will not change is a commitment to the care and development of all aspects of the young people in our charge. We are dedicated to meeting their educational needs through high quality learning and teaching and to providing a breadth of opportunities for them to achieve success. Of equal importance, we are committed to offering the highest quality personal support and advice. We know that to succeed in a rapidly changing world we need to prepare our young people with the right attitudes, skills and experiences.

In addition, we are committed to building strong, open and honest relationships with parents and carers, thus ensuring the success of our pupils is enhanced when school and home work together with a common purpose. We aim to maximise the potential of all. There are many opportunities for you to get involved in school life including our Parent Council and we are keen to promote parental participation in the life of our school. Also, we strive to work closely with our local community for the common benefit of both.

Most important of all, we believe that school should be an enjoyable experience and a place where our pupils have the opportunities and support to be all that they can be.

Should you have any questions, or should you wish to arrange a visit, please do not hesitate to contact the school. We will be delighted to provide you with whatever help and support that we can.
