Our school is in the small picturesque rural village of Auchtertool, high in the hills above Kirkcaldy. The school consists of two substantial Victorian stone built buildings set in a compact site back from the main road. We have direct access to the local recreation park which pupils use as an extension to our playground facilities. The Gardening Club has enhanced with colourful planters full of flowers and vegetables as part of Learning Out of Doors. There are numerous outside play areas and seating areas, a netball court and a football pitch.
Our top building contains two classrooms currently occupied by classes and our staff room. Our lower building contains our small hall which is used for dining and activities and a second multi-functional room which serves as Headteacher's Office and General Office.
We have the use of our nearby Village Hall for PE and other activities. We offer a Multi Activity after school club on a Monday and JKS Karate also runs a club for our pupils on a Thursday after school.
