The Council recognises that accredited Representatives are entitled to reasonable time off, subject to the requirements of the Service, to take part in Trade Union activities. The Council also recognises that, to operate effectively and democratically, Trade Unions require the active participation of members and that such participation will promote the proper representation of members’ interests. Further information and guidance on time off monitoring and recording is attached in the publications below.
