Find your future with Fife Council

We want young people to come and work for Fife Council. We offer loads of different jobs, training and the chance to start a career that can take you somewhere. It can be tough to find work. We want to help you get a job and keep a job, whether you stay at the council or decide to move on to other things. See the Interview Tips for Young People at the bottom of this page.

Apprentices & trainees

We’re spending £1m a year on council employment and training opportunities for young people. The apprenticeships and traineeships we set up will help us create the workforce the council needs to help Fife in the future. These particular roles are open to young people aged 16-24 who live in Fife.

Straight from school

We’ve got a range of jobs that are suitable for anyone. Because they don’t need any experience, they’re ideal for school leavers. Find one in an area that interests you, start at the bottom and work your way up!

Jobs for everyone

Of course, young people can apply for any council job if you’ve got the experience/qualifications required. For an idea of the range of jobs within the council, check out the Wider Council Opportunities page.
