Transportation Services is responsible for inspecting reported road defects/potholes and arranging any necessary repairs on the non-trunk adopted roads in Fife.
A yearly assessment of road pavement condition is carried out and the results used to compile a 3 year programme of works.

The following types of faults can also be reported by telephoning our Contact Centre:

- Potholes and uneven slabs
- Safety barriers and pedestrian guardrails
- Boundary fences
- Signs and bollards
- Street nameplates
- Verges, Trees and Hedges
- Walls and Embankments
- Winter Maintenance

Please note that the responsibility for the maintenance of the Trunk Road Network (i.e. M90, A823M, A92, A977) currently lies with BEAR Scotland Ltd (Tel 0800 587 1107). The A985 is the responsibility of Amey (tel 0800 042 0188).
