Strategic Development Plans
Strategic Development Plans set out the long-term strategy for future development across Scotland's city-regions and form the basis for the Fife Local Development Plan (FIFEplan).
Strategic Development Plans (SDPs) have been produced for the four city regions in Scotland (Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow and Aberdeen). Fife has strong links to Edinburgh and Dundee and is included within the plans for both these city region areas.
The area from Kincardine to Glenrothes and Leven is within the Edinburgh and South East Scotland Strategic Development Plan (SESplan). North and east Fife is covered by the TAYplan Strategic Development Plan which also covers Dundee, Angus and Perth & Kinross.
The replacement to the SESplan Strategic Development Plan is in the latter stages of production.

The current TAYPlan Strategic Development Plan was approved on 11 October 2017.
