Organised activities for young people

There’s a huge range of children's organised activities in Fife.

Our services and facilities for sporting, recreation and leisure activities can help you lead a healthy lifestyle. 

There are lots of opportunities to try something you've never done before or meet new friends.

  • Active Fife: Fife Council's Active Fife team help you people to take part in sports and physical activities. Various programmes run throughout the year for all ages including school holiday sports camps, sports festivals, after school events and volunteer training. You can find out more on the Active Fife website.
  • Community Use Schools: A wide range of activities, classes and courses happen in school buildings across Fife outwith the normal school day. These are open to the whole community although many are specifically aimed at children and young people. Visit the Community Use Schools website for more information.
  • Youth Clubs & Groups: A range of opportunities for young people are available through our Youth Work service. You can get in touch to find out about the youth clubs, groups and projects that are currently running in your area or if you are interested in taking part in our leadership programmes and volunteering opportunities.   • Libraries & Museums: Fife Council's Libraries & Museums offer a wide range of events and services for young people including book clubs, reading challenges and exhibition events. More information is available here on children's services and teenager's services.
  • Outdoor Education Fife: Always wanted to try mountain biking or canoeing? Fancy a go at sailing? A great programme of activities is offered by Fife Council's Outdoor Education team who are based at Lochore Meadows.   • ON at Fife run programmes, events and workshops in Fife's theatres
  • Fife Sports & Leisure Trust offer a range of sporting and leisure activities for young people
  • Fife Coast & Countryside Trust often run events and projects to help young people get involved in learning more about and looking after Fife's precious coast and countryside.
