A Few Important Reminders
- Gym will be on a Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure you have full gym kit with you on these days.
- Homework will be issued on a Friday and should be returned by a Tuesday. This term homework will consist of spelling, reading and another curricular activity.
In writing this term we began developing imaginative settings and characters. We have been working on using meaningful and interesting adjectives to add excitement to our stories and descriptions. We have used pictures as stimuli to help us get started. We have also been developing our understanding of the different parts of language and what their purpose is.
We have been working through a few different areas this term so far, but these are all allowing us to explore and make use of our place value skills from term one. We have looking at comparing numbers using greater than and less than, within two and three digit numbers. Following on from this, we then looked at rounding. Again, we had to apply what we knew about place value to ensure we were rounding to the correct 10/100. We are now moving on to multiplication and division.
Health and Wellbeing
We have been reflecting on what makes a good learner, and are beginning to develop our collaborative learning skills. We have a whole class goal relating to making use of thinking time, and are trying our best to ensure we are always ready to learn. As our food technology enterprise develops, we will be developing our understanding of safe practises in cooking, as well as thinking about what we need to keep our bodies healthy.
