British Military Fitness

A group of friends began meeting at the playing fields at Beath High School and taking part in a Military Style Fitness session lead by Lindsay Ward. There was no cost involved in taking part in this class. Once the winter months started approaching and the nights were getting darker Lindsay looked into securing a venue for us to continue our training. On Monday 3rd November 2014 we held or first session in Broad Street Centre from 18.30-19.30 and have used this facility since.

A typical class involves a warm up, then a circuit with different stations working abs, legs, cardio and arms using different equipment and techniques, the class ends with a cool down.

As a group we all agreed that we would pay £3 per session, which is a bargain for any fitness class. This covers the cost of our hall and we have managed to purchase equipment to use during the sessions with the money we have built up.

Currently the numbers vary weekly and we can have anything from 2 attending a class to 10.

Updates are shared within the group who attend via our private facebook page.
New members are always welcome and they can pass their details onto us through the centre or just turn up on a Monday at 18.30 to join in.
